About Westcare

The idea to create Westcare Hospital group was conceived in 1997. This idea was brought to fruition in May 1998 when the first hospital was founded and named Ilogbo central Hospital. The hospital was named after Ilogbo town near Ajangbadi, Ojo LGA of Lagos in which the hospital was situated.

The need and inadequate medical and surgical specialists in health care of our country drove the medial director Dr Obideyi Olufemi to proceed to specialist training in surgery. He had his surgical training in both Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja and the prestigious National Orthopaedic Hospital, Igbobi, Lagos. He also had further train abroad. These trainings exposed him to various aspects of advanced medical and surgical aspects of medicine. He was awarded Fellowships of the West African College of Surgeons after his training.

Westcare Specialist Hospital, Egbeda and Westcare Hospital Ejigbo were later established to provide highly specialised medical care to all Nigerians.
